Your most nerdy activities

Watching The Lord of the Rings 😍🙌🧝🏼‍♀️🧙🏻‍♂️⚔️

I try to watch the whole trilogy at least once every year 🥹 always the extended editions (don’t think I have ever watched the theatrical ones, I have heard, that the Mouth of Sauron isn’t even in those???). And with one exception due to annoying movie theatre scheduling, I always watch them in the same day 🤩

I’m atheist, and I do consider the Lord of the Rings universe the closest thing I have to a religion 🥹😍🙌

I could say video games but that's not so nerdy anymore. It's probably making spreadsheets and generally enjoying Microsoft Excel.

My life has changed (I became old, all my friends moved away, depression and medical issues burned away my passions) but I DM'd RPG games for 20 years or something, I was a huge Tolkien fan from the first moment I opened the Holy Trilogy in the mid 70s, I was a keen follower of Dr Who, comics were to be my future, I was an OS/2 fanboy before I found Linux and bent my first kernel (zero-point-something), and I was there when Star Wars changed the world. It is all gone now, of course.

I am a huge nerd for Harry Potter. I also love learning new thing. I usually stay home next to my PC and play video games all day and don’t go outside unless I have to.

Uhmmmm does running a multi year tabletop RPG campaing, playing (and painting) Warhammer 40k, trying to read all Hugo-award winning novels and making statistics about my subs orgasms (or lack thereof) count?

Oh god so much. I've played dungeons and dragons both as a DM and a player, table top war gaming (warhammer, malfiaux, bolt action amongst so many more and the modeling and painting that goes into it), 3D printing, board games, card games like Arkham Horror. Recently starting reading marvel comics. Not to mentions things like films and computer games.

Ahh, so you're a freak in the (spread)sheets... sorry (not sorry).

Like many here I'm also into TTRPGs (especially the simpler OSR-style stuff) and board games. SUPER into basically anything science or science fiction and I also have a homelab where I enjoy setting up servers and virtual machines with different services for fun. Always open to any ideas for kinky things I could use them for 🤔

I enjoy nerding out about philosophy, psychology, sociology, linguistics, and music with crunchy jazz chords too.

Honestly I'm a nerd about most things I enjoy. I rotate through hyperfixations, so I tend to go short and hard (haha) for my hobbies.
