Somehow I can't get into reading books - but at times I do love watching good tv series! What are the favorite ones, in which genre is is - and why do you advice watching it?

My current favorite is Slow Horses. It’s a British spy drama where a bunch of misfits work in an office where careers go to die! It’s a beautiful series with high octane action and moments of comedy

Reason to watch: primary reason; it has Gary Oldman in some of his beast acting. Secondary, the insults in the entire series are pure gold!

FRIENDS is my all time favorite show ever. It just makes me laugh even if I have watched it at least 50 times.

Supernatural, Sherlock, Elementary, Fringe, The 100, Westworld, Dexter, ... Honestly the list goes on, Sir's toy watches a lot of TV shows.

I've enjoyed watching Entrevias, it's on Netflix and a Spanish series. Game of Thrones was amazing for sure. And Orphan Black (which is about cloned kids, it keeps you amazed a lot) I really really enjoyed! That would be my top 3 at the moment.

I don't watch a lot of shows. Even less so now then I did in the past. And my favorites tend to be pretty old as well.

MASH - This was a classic and I enjoyed it a lot back in the day. Great humor, great cast, could be serious as well and educate us about the horror of war and it remained great from start to finish.

You Rang M'Lord - A very British comedy series set somewhere in the 19th century. It was a about the staff of an upper class family who were always looked down upon. But there was a hierarchy within the staff as well. Very funny, very unique but can be hard to follow because all of the English slang used.

24 - The action series with Kiefer Sutherland where each episode played out in real-time. Very intense edge-of-your-seat and nerve wrecking. Also kind of horrific as the counter terrorist unit constantly had to choose between two evils.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - I never watched this back in the day because it seemed to be something childish only for teenagers. But its not. While it IS set in high school with teenagers or young adults as the main characters, its actually very mature, especially in later episodes. Fantastic cast and acting throughout, very unique storylines, excellent writing in almost every season (while there was a bit of a dip) and this one had many profound moments that will stay with you long after watching.

The Big Bang Theory but only the first 3 seasons - That disclaimer is important. The first 3 seasons were absolutely fantastic with great unique nerdy humor. After that new characters got added, many of them quite annoying and they changed the entire format. But those first 3 seasons were comedy gold.

Some of my other highlights:

1. The staircase - it's a documentary about a true crime case

2. Modern Family

3. Greys Anatomy

4. Revenge - I normally dont like shows where characters die because I get attached easily but this show was so great and a lot of the characters deserved to die haha

5. Big Brother - My guilty pleasure show

6. Life in Pieces - This was a fun, light comedy show that I thought was amazing

I don't watch much TV, right now.
But some shows I like.
The Almighty Johnson,
Satisfaction (Australian, not the US show of the same name),
Tulsa King,
Underbelly (AU and NZ),
Supernatural,
Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister.
Silo,
Severance (but yet to find the time to watch season 2)

I’ve got loads I like, I’ll try to keep most of the old ones out…but not all.

TRUE CRIME SERIES
Dark minds…M William Phelps is a great presenter and having a secret serial killer on the team adds a nice touch.
Cold Justice….Kelly Sieglar was an awesome prosecutor, if you like lesser known cold cases it’s a great show.
Interview with a killer….As it says in the title, great interviewer.

CRIME DRAMA
Elementary….Really well done modernisation of Sherlock Holmes, brilliant cast.
Hawaii 5.0…. (The newer one) Great cast and storylines, well made and funny too.
Ozark…..I don’t have Netflix but watched this, you’ll either love it or hate it within a couple of episodes.
The Blacklist….This is probably my favourite show of all, awesome storyline, great acting
Aquarius….Loved this, David Duchovny, different angle on the Manson Family, really well done.

COMEDY
Only Fools and Horses….Looks outdated now but best comedy of all time imo.
Porridge…..Another classic about a prison, funny af.
FAWLTY TOWERS….Absolute classic, feels like it was on forever but they only ever made 12 episodes.
Men Behaving Badly…..Simple sit-com most people can relate to in some way, real funny.
Some Mothers Do Av Em….Another 70s one about a guy that fucks up just about everything he tries,

OTHERS
Supernatural…..Needs no explanation, we all love it.
Zoo….This was a really unusual idea about animals joining together against us, first season was awesome,

I'm also in the Friends camp. Married with children was gold, in living color was great, early simpsons...

I like the first few seasons of all the DC superhero shows. Up until the pattern emerges where the end of every season the hero retires for some weird reason, just in case they don't get funding for another season, and then they do and they need some convoluted reason to bring them back into action... And the amount of times they need a pep talk to reach a new level of their power starts to border on downright pathetic after the 20th time...

Generally TV shows need to learn how to end with some fucking dignity.
