I know you are feeling lost right now, but I am so happy to have you here. I know things look a bit different, and it may not feel like home, but I want you to make yourself comfortable and settle in. You are welcome here!

The untimely death of getDare

Let's address the elephant in the room - getDare is dead.

I am SO sorry for your loss. This was so sudden and terrible. I know that a lot of you are feeling heartbroken, sad, or regretful. You may have lost contact with friends, and lost all of your saved content. That really sucks and nothing that I can say will help you, other than I understand and I am here for you.

I went through my own mourning period when I lost getDare 9 months ago. Thankfully some of those wounds have healed and we have started to create a wonderful community of our own.

Kinky Wonderland was born

9 months ago, a lot of shit happened on getDare and I left (and then was removed as a mod and banned - if you want the full story, I might be willing to share later). It was really difficult, but I had been imagining a new kink community for years and this was a great opportunity to create it. Thankfully, the amazing @Inkwarden offered to help me make that vision come true, and thus Kinky Wonderland was born.

We are still new. We are still growing, learning and changing. Please let us know if there is something that you are missing from getDare, and we will do our best to help you find it, or see if we can do something to create it.

Please read our rules and check out the description of our forums if you are feeling a little lost.

I have tried to make things a little more organized, a little easier to navigate, and keeping the highlights of things that we loved about getDare - the requests, truths, add threads, chat room, and lounge, while also creating some new things, like our voice chat room, or the anonymous whispers section.

Where to start

If you are just joining, please take a look through our rules. Some of them might be a bit different from the ones you are used to. Two notable differences are that we have freed the nipple! and we also allow editing of your posts indefinitely. We also have a handy little guide to describe the forums and sections.

After you have filled out your profile (check out our flags option!), you might want to use the signature links forum to post information to link in your signature, or maybe you want to try and introduce yourself in the roll call forum.

Depending on what you are hoping for, there are sections for forums, blogs, personals, media, and stories.

If you are feeling extra social, come hang out in the chat room with us!

Kinktalk. Well…..for me I was 10 plus years active, over 5000 posts, mod in 2025, banned lots of bots(hopefully this site has a better preplanned fix lol) , then poof it’s all gone. There was a lot of good info there I would liked to have saved for helping out future people. Lots of valuable advice I had given to specific situations. I can say even as a mod I didn’t get any heads up. Years of advice and guidance gone. It’s deflating for sure. Havent decided at what level I’ll be contributing at this point yet. But for now I’ll show up here incase any old connections rekindle. There was a solid core group there for sure. Seeing some familiar names here so that’s a bonus I suppose. Thanks for having a site to keep active and possibly build into something awesome for years to come.

Clearly similarly no warning for gD also, even as Mod. A lot has been said about it, it's a shame it had to go this way.

@Inkwarden is amazing so I think we should have a handle on bots or he will be able to tackle them if/when it happens

It is so frustrating that not even the mods were looped in. That is one of the things that set my "demise" from getdare in action. Lack of communication is awful, especially when it is people who are working so tirelessly to run the community.

We are happy to have you here, even if it is just as a lurker.

Orphan of GD and KT, I'm very happy and grateful to Butterfly for setting up this place where I can find some friends and a lot of known people from both the lost worlds... and, yes, at the same time sad and upset for the precious contents fruit of years of passionate work that have been lost. I agree so much good information lost without warning. And yes lost friends and connections. I also came here hoping to find some of those lost connections. Although due to health issues im not able to participate in any kinky at the moment. But love to see those I had gotten to know find a new home to cultivate there kinky side.

Hello! Long-time GetDare member here (however, this name will not reflect that account, as I wanted to separate myself from it for a while). I would like to hear the details of what happened *EDIT FOUND IT*, as it may be telling or help some of us accept that maybe getDare wasn't all we thought it was. I currently prefer this site more. I was sad the other day when I saw getDare was down. I went to Reddit and found this site through there. I am excited and feel comfortable knowing you're the admin here, as you were a good moderator in my opinion on getDare.

Sucks no one was given time to collect their things so to be or archive memories. The abrupt message was also harsh, there was certainly a better way to handle it than how it actually went down.

I think I was on GD for about nine years, and great though the community was, the platform was creaking at the seams. I was shocked to see it go down without warning, and with no opportunity to save valuable stuff, but I have to say, in just a few days here, this is exactly what we should have had.

I'm loving this site. Long may it continue.

Great name! It would be awesome if You were the real Red Panda, lol. My favorite halftime show of all time and arguably the greatest athlete.

Thank you for making this site ^^ i too discovered after new years that GD was dead all of a sudden. did some googling a few times to find alternatives, but nothing showed up. Then today i saw someone mentioning this site in some random reddit thread, and i'm happy to have found it as i feel its the closest thing to it. Looking forward to see it grow. Looks like it is in good hands.
