The neuro-spicy thread

Mooooood!

I’m currently not allowed my ADHD medication as it is deemed too much of a risk with my current other issues and I’m getting really frustrated as my ADHD is feeling much worse now I’m not as unwell as I was and I’m concerned about returning to work without meds. My job is quite demanding and has high risk moments so I worry about that and the effort it takes to do the job without meds is exhausting some days. I know I can work without them but it is much more exhausting and less efficient. Though the ADHD does help in times of peak high stress situations - my brain loves to perform well then but it hates the more mundane prolonged tasks.

I’m trying to convince my team to reissue the meds and will hopefully get a decent conversation about that in Jan so 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Also I’m really struggling with sleeping as I’m so hyperactive and fixated on random tasks at night it’s getting me a lot of punishments for not sleeping enough or not making my set bedtime…

That is SO hard! I hope things settle down soon and you are able to start on medication again soon.
