I have a recent fascination with how timekeeping devices work. Did you know that the most important component for creating an accurate timepiece is the oscillator. Over centuries we have been in a never ending quest to find the ultimate oscillator that can oscillate with perfect regularity. Metal oscillators are obviously sensitive to the changing temperatures and so had to be made with composites for marine timekeeping. A quartz oscillator works by the mechanical vibrations of the Christal subjected to an electrical charge an atomic oscillator...................................
