To start with, let me tell you a bit about myself.
By nature I'm a cheerful, easy-going, nerdy guy with a penchant for overthinking things. I am a huge fan of tabletop gaming, which includes both board games and RPGs (my current go-to is Pathfinder Second Edition). I also enjoy going to climbing gyms, playing the occasional video game, baking, and reading all sorts of fiction.
I've recently gotten to a place in my life where I am comfortable enough to start seeking out a relationship. Although I've put some efforts towards the 'vanilla' route it didn't seem like it was working for me.
I've known I was at least BDSM-inclined for a long time but it took me a while to realize how big of a part of me my dom side really is. Although I've had some experiences where I've gotten to express this side of myself they have been few and far between and as such I've felt unfulfilled in this part of my life. That eventually brought me here, to a place where I can try searching for a D/s relationship straight from the start.
In terms of specific kink interests I confess I'm still somewhat inexperienced so I only have a general sense of what I like, with some notable exceptions.
Restraints and the application thereof is something I know I enjoy. I have a modicum of experience in rope-ties but I would definitely appreciate practicing some more on an enthusiastic partner.
Control, the fundamental core of D/s relationships as far as I can tell, is something I desire. However I believe offered submission means more to me than something that must be forced. Something about a sub voluntarily giving up control to me is exceptionally exciting.
Degradation definitely appeals to me, although I think I would have to be very comfortable with my sub to engage in it.
Everything else I cannot be sure of. I suspect the 'sadism' part of BDSM is less important to me than most, though I still enjoy delivering a bit of 'punishment.'
My main hope is to find someone who shares my interests (kinky or otherwise), who I can create a lasting relationship with, and who who will act as my complement just as I will for them.
However if I simply find a new friend (with or without benefits) that would still make me happy.
