Last night I reconnected with one of my favorite members from getDare, @Cstelle. I was given the very sad news that one of the sweetest mods, and most joyful people that I knew, Happy Me, sadly passed away on Christmas morning after a long battle with a dreadful disease.
Because of her health, she had found it incredibly difficult for her to participate in life on getDare, but she regularly spoke of her time on the site, and those she had met there with love and gratitude. She was a dear friend to many of us, and for me personally, she was always a mentor and even helped train me as a mod.
Her chosen username was not ironic, she really was one of the happiest, joyful people that I knew, even through all of the hardships she had to endure on a daily basis.
I am so sad to hear of her passing, and am even sadder to have to share this news in this manor when those who knew her are also mourning the loss of their home and kink community. I wanted to make sure those who knew her, had a safe place to grieve and share memories.
Cheers to Happy Me! You have touched so many lives and will never be forgotten. We hope that you are pain free and spreading your joy with all of those around you, wherever you are.
