Kinky Debate: Is teasing more torturous than denial?

That is a tricky question, as ideally I see them as parts of the same game. Teasing without denial could end any time by just going "screw you, imma go get mine" and denial without a little teasing is... a void, a nothing, an emptiness, a lack of.
Of course the length of the denial, and the method of the teasing also plays a factor. There are scenarios where teasing can get quite torturous, and a little void would be more than welcome. On the flip side, I have seen people get downright depressed from long term denial without any teasing.
So I guess I'll say denial has the greatest torture potential I've seen... but there's a lot of unknown variables.

I too would go with denial, but on the same premise. Both are part of intercnected systems for most, Its like asking which car is faster the one with the engine or the one with the fuel tank.... Without both being in the same car neither is going anywhere. While the degrees and ways that teasing and denail will variey wildly person to person it is more about finding the ballance of each. Then the combination of the two becomes the most torturus. In a fun way of course 
but the same is true of teaseing and non denial, Getting plenty... almost too much of something with teasing can have the same effect. Seems to me it is more the ballance of the two together being right that makes the ultimate torturous situation.

Teasing is definitely more torturous. But also a lot more fun. Denial is pretty easy for me. Just don't cum. That's it. Cumming isn't as important for me as it is for most people.

Words are fun, I assume we are talking about arousal-teasing, not schoolyard bullying teasing. I believe we call the latter degradation.
So yeah, I don't think I ever met anyone who would call teasing proper torture. There is always fun, you are always getting something - some attention, some affection, some arousal - yet not "enough". It keeps you yearning for more and drift into a needy, perhaps subby state. It is mighty pleasurable and I dare say it is only called torturous because to an outside observer it may seem like it.
You do not get anything out of denial though. Sure there is all the emotions from being an obedient submissive, the sense of accomplishment, the pride in withstanding it - but those are non-specific to denial! You can get those anywhere.
Add a little personal touch - when I am denied for too long I start developing serious mental problems, not the fun mind-game thing, more like the safeword-calling, relationship-ending, existential crisis, one-freak-accident-away-from-worldending-supervillain kind of problems.
I mean I still do it, but there is a hard limit on how long. I consider it one of the closest things to actual torture without being actual torture. I prefer waterboarding any day!
