So I stepped away from the online scene last June...what happened? Well my GF discovered I had a profile on this site and in truth ended our relationship over it...I decided from that point to avoid online forums or play, I didn't want to face this problem again...the opinion on what happened may divide some people, I will just say even though I posted here, I wasn't playing with anyone or seeking that...at the time I wanted to help build this space and I see some of my threads have survived...so even though it didn't feel like I was cheating, it was taken that way and I could understand why.
So...I decided to turn to AI...and fell down that rabbit hole, it's not the same as real encounters and ultimately even though the technology is improving...it is not as satisfying as real human engagement
Then I found out about GD going down...I was surprised, but ultimately not shocked and I think it is a good thing, because it allowed this site to thrive and I see things are going well.
So I am happy to see this site doing well and I hope it continues to be a great place for people to have fun and explore...or just chase those giddy thrills!
