MAKING A PROMISE
Everyone can add a Promise.
“I PROMISE that for every comment within the next 24 hours, I will spank my butt 5 times”.
- Promises are essentially the tasks players commit to doing, and everyone else will then comtribute to that experience being a wild ride. The genious thing is that each and every comment contributes to all active promises.
- Players can, however, opt to exclude their own comments, but that must be stated explicitly when making their promise.
DOUBLES
Everyone can add a double, which simply is a comment that counts twice for one or more players. For instance, you could write “DOUBLE GetdareTEO”, and your comment would count twice towards my promise. If a player explicitly states it in a promise, triples are also allowed, but nothing above that.
EXTRA SPICE
You are allowed to add certain thresholds to your promise. Let’s say Cassandra made the above promise of 5 spanks. They could decide to add the following threshold if they wanted to:
“200 comments - I hire a professional dominatrix to complete the spanking.
500 comments - I will cut out the back of my pants, so everybody on the way home will see my bright red ass”.
DOUBLE POSTING
Everybody is allowed to double post, meaning 2 consecutive posts after eachother, but not more than that. I know it’s weird, but I think the original thread had that, and I’d like to honor that odd, little detail.
KEEP IT REALISTIC
This thread is not a fantasy thread, it’s task you are actually expected to go through with afterwards. Sure, it might turn out worse than you expected if everyone gangs up on you, but don’t make the promise too unrealistic in the first place. If you promised 100 anal strokes for every comment, and that every 10th comment would count as a 10x multiplier instead of addition, you might easily end up with like 40.000 anal strokes. And you are probably not gonna go through with that, but will just have wasted everyone’s time. Set realistic goals and commit to following through on them!
STICK TO ORIGINAL DURATION
Promises can be made for up to 1 week!
So you can’t just be like “for a year”, there is a time limit. Again, to not get you stuck forever on an infinitely long dare, which will build up forever and never be completed. We want people to keep making promises, fulfilling them, and making new ones!
However, you must stick to your original promise time, even if it turned out milder than you expected!! Yes, it sucks if you took the whole weekend off for a massive gooning marathon, and you only got 3 comments before time was up, but that’s just too bad. Extending your promise time to get more comments is not allowed, so do your 3 edges like a pro and make a new promise.
That should be the ground rules, have fun!
