When people talk about porn they mean porno movies and videos. People watch porn so that means moving pictures as one doesn't 'watch' still images.
However for me porn pictures are what I like, not porn videos.
There are always exceptions of course, but in general I find porn videos to be boring and I have no patience for them. There are many reasons for this.
Lack of variety
Yes, there's lots of different categories, but most individual porn flicks just show the same action with very little creative camera work and angles. I just see the same action (fucking, sucking) without even a change in camera angle. Once in a while they may switch position, but that's pretty much all the change I can look forward to.
Overly long
Most porno's are at least 30 minutes but usually longer. With a useless intro (more on that later) followed by the aforementioned boring action. I have no patience for that! I find myself skipping ahead constantly as after maybe a few minutes of the same action I'm just bored with that and want to see something new.
Story and dialog
Porn stars are terrible actors and I don't watch porn for any story so why do they always want to tack one on? And one that is so unbelievable its just painful. Just give me action and nothing else. If I want a story I'll watch a normal movie or read a book!
Excessive moaning
I know this opinion is very controversial, but I don't like moaning sounds. At least not the unbelievable clearly fake acted ones. Its always over-the-top and unbelievable and it hurts. If I ever do watch porn I almost always mute the sound.
Lack of dirtyness
Real sex is pretty dirty and sweaty. Yes there's amateur porn which is a lot better, but the mainstream porno flick is just way too clean.

Rescue: pictures!
For all the reasons above I love pictures so much more than videos. Since those are much less popular they are harder to come by, but I have a few sites that I regularly visit and where I just browse pictures. Animated gifs are a good middle ground also since they are just short and sweet, but pictures are where I really get my rocks off. If you know where to look there's so much variety. Must more so than in videos.
