Wet dreams as 40 year old

Its weird but only now during my later years I sometimes get wet dreams. Its not very often, but more than I want.

I feel weird about this, and also a bit ashamed. Isn't this supposed to happen only for constantly horny teenagers!?

This is something that can happen at any age. It is very normal. Normally they do decrease as you become more sexually active and as your hormones kind of level out, but every body is different.
