Not all subs are sluts!

I am not a slut, a whore, a bitch, a c**t ... I am also not a slave. and will not answer to such. I am a sub and you may call me Butterfly.

Recently I read a blog post where the writer referred to all subs as sluts. He said something along the lines of "I try my best and you sluts just ruin it". That is a gross generalization. Not all subs are sluts!

Not all subs/slaves like being called names.

Sure, degradation and humiliation are common kinks, and a lot of people do enjoy being called names. I know a lot of people who enjoy it. The nastier the name, the wetter it makes them. However, there are still rules that need to be followed.

1. When you meet somebody in chat or wish to send them a pm, they are your equal. It doesn't matter if you are a big domly Dom and you know they are a sub/slave, you are still equals and should refer to them by their NAME! Do not call them names right away. Do not refer to them as simply "sub" or "slave". They are a person. A person who is equal to you until a relationship is formed.

2. When you are writing in threads or blogs, do not refer to the entire population of subs/slaves as "sluts" or "whores" or "bitches". Just because you enjoy calling names, doesn't mean we enjoy being called names. It is rude and ignorant.

3. Before calling somebody names, talk to them about whether they enjoy degradation and name calling. Find out if there are any names you should avoid. COMMUNICATE!!!

Just because you are a Dom, it does not give you the right to call people names. Just because I am a sub, it does not mean I am a slut, or a bitch, or anything else you may wish to call me.

So for the love of kink ....

STOP CALLING ME SLUT!

Jep, communication is key. This person sounds like they just watched a video like "10 things subs like" that they just apply to all subs, and then is upset that most subs actually dislike one or more of those.

Ya gotta get to know people, cuz everyone is special. You don't like subs calling you cute or adorable, I don't like being called a loser, and that's ok!

If not slut...why slut shaped?
If not slut...why knees hurt?
If not slut...why boobies bounce?
If not slut...why that thang be swinging?

(Sorry lol)

I love degradation and the nastier the better. So I naturally also love the word slut.

However even for me that does NOT mean just anyone can call me that. It is just rude to refer to someone you don't know like that and I honestly don't understand why people do it.

and I honestly don't understand why people do it.
Especially when it feels so much better coming from a person you know!

This entire thread is something where I just think "duh?!". Apparently though people out there require more education.

What I do not get is this: Engaging in name calling is a relatively benign type of dynamic, what is the problem with just asking someone if they want to be called a slut? Is it really such a mood killer having to articulate one's desires? Are people really so deprived they cannot behave? Is it really so difficult to realize they are talking to a person? And if so, how can we help?
