Yes. This is why so many people have "curl up in the tops lap" as part of aftercare.

Im not sure if this is the same thing at all.
Sub drop is more of an emotional state after, this is just kind of a want for cuddles and like an intense bonding feeling
Totally normal! If I were small enough I'd totally curl up on a dom/domme's lap, but this'd be like one of those pupper vs adult great dane before after photo situations, partners i've had have typically been smaller, which is a funny dynamic when they're doming you looking up. 
Submission requires a load of trust and commitment, you have to be close to have it work really well, it's only natural to want to be close and relax after.
