How submissive are you?

Reply to thread
This is one question that I absolutely hate. How am I supposed to answer this? Other than posting my BDSM test results, how do I quantify my submissiveness.

Are they looking for a percentage? A number between 1 and 10? Is there some scale of subbyness that I was never introduced too? Should I look in Cosmo for a 8 question quiz that will tell me the answer?

What's the right answer?

Do I share with you examples about how much I love to please? or maybe it is my desire to be tortured and suffer? Does it count that I want nothing more than to be edged until I am begging for release?

But then does me being a switch deduct points? or am I less submissive because I don't do denial? Does having limits count against me?

What is the criteria for answering this question? Please, for the love of all that is kinky, tell me! Because if not, I CANNOT ANSWER YOU ....

ps. I am grumpy, so this may have turned into more of a rant than intended

How submissive are you and how extreme/what's the most extreme thing you did is 2 questions I get all the time and have no idea how to answer
Oh yeah, "what's the craziest thing you've done sexually?". I just got that one the other day. I have no idea how to answer any of those questions. It depends on that person's definition. What I found sexy, crazy, extreme etc. can be totally different from your definition. Ugh. I try to avoid them.

It's one of those conversation starters that pretty much ends the conversation for me lol

On a scale of "walmart employee being yelled at by a karen but they're on their last warning and if they punch any more customers they're fired so they just smile while biting their tongue" to "scottish bartender who'll serve you, but you better order something good or he'll spit in it while you watch, and then charge you double"

This is exactly why I like to qualify what do you belive to be the etc... because it is so subjective and even then can change by the minute, hour or day. There is no real scale and even if there were it is so subjective and arbitery to be meningless. But what I will say is rant away Butterfly, It makes for an amazing read (:

This is a funny perspective, what I usually have to deal with is people advertising or promoting themselves as "very" submissive - and what does that even mean?
Two things: They are un-creative and starved and want to butter up their appearance (which backfires every time); Or they lack proper vocabulary to describe themselves.

Something more generic is "How experienced are you?" Which I just find rude to ask, I usually respond with something equally unhelpful like "More than nothing, less than too much." and see if they get the message.
