Hi friends,

Reading through some of the AMA's, I had asked people how they were doing, like *really* doing? It seems that a lot of us have been going through it.
I would say I have heard from about 8 or 9 people in this community that they have been hurt, dealing with medical stuff, or just mentally not doing well. So I thought I would open up a place for us to dump all of our health related stuff. So if you want to share, if you need a hug, pop in here and let us know!
 
I have been having these weird, unexplainable symptoms. I've been to doctors and they checked everything there is to check. No cause found. Everything seems normal. These symptoms - I won't go into detail - happen very rarely, but they have been happening since a few years not and while everything seems okay, its still annoying to not know what is causing it.
 
I have been dealing with a lot as well.

Last year I had an MRI to see if I had a brain tumor. I do, and it isn't cancerous or causing issues right now. Phew. However, in that scan they found a cyst in my sinus cavity. It takes up the entire cavity. I have been waiting to get into a specialist for 18 months and I finally get to see them this week.

My other big health issue is that, even though I am losing weight (safely and intentionally), my tummy circumference has actually grown. This, along with really heavy, painful and irregular periods, has led my doctor to believe that I may have a growth in my abdomen. Unfortunately I have to wait until December for the CT Scan that is needed to check. This has been weighing heavily on me. I just want to know and take action.

Not sure if it is health related but I am really struggling this weekend with pain because my new orthodontic appliance is cutting into my gums and it hurts!
 
Not exactly health related, but maybe mental health adjacent. Someone broke into, and mostly burnt down, my place of work last week. 90% of our (mostly irreplaceable) stock is gone. Not sure yet if the business will recover or close.

Been suffering with depression recently. Coupled with a bad several weeks with my Mum in and out if the hospital following a stroke, a hell of a time...

I am so sorry to hear this. I know all about the hospital/parent/stroke stuff and I feel for you.
 
its a minor health issue but its making me miserable so I'm going to use this designated internet void to rant

I have an ear infection - came on suddenly at work resulting in an awkward - coworker giving me an injection in my butt but its not improving, I'm on my second set of antibiotics and it feels worse than when it started it hurts and im so off my feet tired and im missing work over it and that kills me as ive only got back and im loving my job again.

I'm grumpy and fed up and so so tired.
 
Today I went to the doctor, apparently, I have tennis elbow.

Pain in everyday life and problems with training at the gym; according to the doctor, this could drag on for months. I got an injection today and will get another one next week.

But yeah it could be worse.

awh sorry to hear that, the injections are usually pretty good but take a few days for full effect so sending healing steroidal thoughts!

Ouchies! I grew up with chronic ear infections and they sucked! I hope you feel better soon.

Edited to add: I always found heat helped soothe the pain
